hot line: 86-510-80628100at present, the maximum size of titanium and titanium alloy forging bars that can be produced in china is φ 400mm. however, with the launch of major projects such as large passenger planes and transport planes, it is required that the maximum size of forging bars reach φ 500 mm, or even φ 600 mm. in the future titanium processing industry, large-sized titanium alloy bars and wide plate and strip materials will be the focus and hotspot of industry development, and a new batch of free forging and fast forging machines dedicated to forging titanium alloy bars and wide plate and strip materials will inevitably be added.
on the premise of meeting the production process parameters of titanium materials, the reasonable selection of equipment parameters for fast forging machines will reduce the equipment cost of fast forging machines, thereby reducing the engineering cost of forging projects and benefiting market competition. specifically, this is reflected in:
(1) a 40mn fast forging machine can be selected for forging and cutting 10t industrial pure titanium ingots, while a 60mn fast forging machine can be selected for forging and cutting 15t industrial pure titanium ingots; for large-diameter industrial pure titanium (φ 1600mm) and titanium alloy ingot casting (φ 860mm), theoretically, a fast forging machine of 80-100mn is required; for the production of titanium alloy bars with a diameter of over 400mm, a 60-100mn fast forging machine is required. the use of hydraulic system boosting to achieve the maximum load of the fast forging machine can not only meet the production process requirements, but also reduce equipment weight, lower equipment installation power, and thus reduce equipment costs;
(2) when not considering the production of large-sized finished ring parts, the clearance height of the fast forging machine is determined by the working stroke of the movable crossbeam and the height of the upper and lower flat anvil; when considering the production of large-sized finished ring components, the clearance height of the fast forging machine is determined by the maximum outer diameter of the ring component and the upper anvil height. due to the widespread use of ring rolling machines, fast forging machines do not have any advantages in producing rings. therefore, when determining the clearance height of the fast forging machine, it is recommended not to consider the production of large-sized rings with a diameter exceeding 3m, in order to reduce equipment height and plant height, thereby reducing project investment;
(3) high forging frequency is beneficial for titanium alloy forging, but excessive working stroke speed and forging frequency will cause an increase in equipment weight and installed capacity, thereby increasing equipment cost. it is recommended that the working stroke speed of the active crossbeam of the 40mn or above fast forging machine should reach 70mm/s, the empty stroke and return speed should reach 250mm/s, and the forging frequency should reach 80 times/min to meet the production process requirements.
